G'day,

I thought I'd let you know that I'm now posting periodic CBM Fidonet
updates on the Web, and these are also available via FTP.  The WWW site
is:  http://hal9000.net.au/~moranec/cbmfido.html

The file is at:  ftp://hal9000.net.au/cbm/info-txt/cbmfido.zip

(It's archived with PKZipv1).   If you use FTP or NCFTP, the proper
directory name is:  /pub/cbm/info-txt/cbmfido.zip

This first batch is rather large, but I will be replacing it in two
weeks with mail from what I receive from today forward.  Each time I
replace it I will update the Website to let users know when it will next
be replaced. I make no guarantees about any gaps in the mail as the
intent is to provide a sample of what Fidonet is about, and well,
Fidonet itself has it's own gaps now and then.

Within the Zip file, readers will find 4 ASCII text files:

cbm.txt
cbm128.txt
cbmgeos.txt
pcwrite.txt

Note:  The next update will have the cpmtech echo included.  It doesn't
get a lot of traffic and I haven't been keeping it.

Please do not ask me to forward messages, questions, etc to the echos.
There are many users in these echos with Email addresses that are
evident in the messages. Please contact one of these people, or better
yet, find a Fidonet BBS and start participating directly.
