It has connections for the Commodore + a Centronics parallel interface. When connected through the Commodore interface, it acts like a Commodore MPS-801 printer with a few extra features and 7-pin graphics. When connected through the Centronics interface, it acts like an Epson FX with a few extra features and 8-pin high-density graphics. Either way, it should be compatible with almost every program there is, but if you want to print good, high-density graphics, look for a Centronics parallel interface so you can use it like an Epson. ---Jake ------------ ************ Topic 17 Sun Jul 09, 1989 H.HERMAN1 at 16:15 EDT Sub: WOC's World of Commodore shows: Where and when are they? 25 message(s) total. ************ ------------ Category 2, Topic 17 Message 23 Sat Sep 30, 1989 J.HAMBY3 at 08:09 PDT I'm interested in the C-64 terminal program. Arc Aid 7.1b.sda Well-guess what after all these years of not being able to get it to work right for me I discovered the following: I had to go into module6 in the program and change line # 420 for c$ to be = "arc/az a:base noname intro" Inotherwords I had to disable the crunch capability. Everytime I made a introductory text screen and then loaded the sda file to test it out if it worked the introductory screen would show itself alright but then it would die. This drove me crazy. I noticed that the very first program being arced was the introductory screen called intro and it was being crunched. According to the arc docs it says that you should be able for sda231.64 use arc/a Sda231.64 being 7 blocks long is the sda.ml in the Arc aid program. But after turning off the crunch with arc/az it works fine now even though the programs(SDA's) are a little longer. Hmmm. Maybe you can't use arc/a with sda231.64 as it says in the docs. With a cartridge like Action Replay 4 or Action Replay 5, you can load even commercial software 25 times faster, and without any extra parallel cables! Also, I'm trying to learn Forth, but the Blazin' Forth program is different in quite a few ways from FORTH-79 (which all the library books seem to use).
