Dragon's Lair Category: Action/Adventure Current Availability and Price: Commodore 64/128; $24.95 November 20, 1987 -- Electronic Arts today announced the release of Dragon's Lair for the Commodore 64/128. Dragon's Lair is a special adaptation of the smash hit videodisk arcade game, originally designed by Don Bluth. Dragon's Lair contains two adventures on one double-sided disk. In both scenarios, you become the hero, Dirk the Daring. In the first adventure, Dragon's Lair, you must duel the meanest fire-breathing beast ever - Singe the Dragon. The merciless Singe has kidnapped the Princess Daphne, and you must defy snapping skulls, fiery chasms and phantom knights just to reach the dragon's lair where he holds her captive. Singe's fiery blasts will test your agility and his scale-covered flesh will challenge your ability to handle a sword. If you manage to rescue Princess Daphne, you will discover in the second adventure that a 10-foot Lizard King and his band of evil thugs have inherited it. In Escape from Singe's Castle, you must dodge deadly boulders, ride a phantom horse and survive the treacherous Throne Room in your quest to slay the Lizard King. Within his domain lies a fortune in gold. If you can seize it from under the Lizard King's watchful eye and escape from the castle you will obtain lifetime wealth. "Now Commodore 64 owners can enjoy this popular arcade game with enhanced special effects and brilliant, colorful graphics," stated Bing Gordon, Vice President of Electronic Arts Entertainment Division. "And the special double-sided disk offers two adventures in one for doubly fierce action and adventure."
