NOW YOU CAN!

The *FlagShip* on GEnie has reserved a special software catagory for Your
Hi-Res face.  It's "Family Portraits," SL #25.  Just upload your bright and
shiny face to share with everyone.

OH!  You don't HAVE a digital of yourself?  Well, here's the REAL news
then!  I'll digitize your picture if you'll send me one!  You get your
choice of Koala, Doodle or Print Shop formats (GEOS format available soon).
If you wish, I can send you your image raw from the digitizer, or clean it
up and add color!  All I need from you is a suitable picture from you.

The best digitals come from a Black & White picture that is a little larger
than the normal "snapshot."  If possible, make sure the picture has lots of
contrast.  Glossy photos always work better than matt.

Here are some other tips to help you get the most from your digital:

    Keep the background simple.  YOU are the subject so you need to be the
    center of attention.

    A darker background will always make you stand out in the picture.

    If you send a color photo, pay particular attention to the brightness
    levels of the colors.  A deep red is the same as black to the camera.

    When requesting a hi-res format, keep the end use in mind.  Koala format
    will generally give a better picture if you are looking for detail on
    the screen.  Koalas are also VERY hard to print unless you have a color
    printer! If you want to print your picture, Doodle or Print Shop are
    the best.

    If you have no way to get a photo, I can also convert your picture from
    a video tape.  Beta, VHS, Super or regular, any format will do.  It may
    take just a little longer to get your picture done with video tape.

If you wish to have your photo returned, please include a self-addressed,
stamped envelope.  When each picture is finished, I will post it on the
*FlagShip* on GEnie.  They will be in catagory #25, Family Portraits.  If
you wish, I can send you a disk with your digital (and all the steps to make
the final, if you wish).  Just send along a disk with the photo.  Be sure to
include your choice of Hi-Res formats.  If you wish to have several formats
done, I'll do as many formats as time permits.  And finally the best news
of all....IT'S FREE!
