Also, information on a "Xetec Graphics Printer Interface" would be useful. It has 7 dip switches: 123 ABC. I've lent it to a friend, but the only info I could give him was which jumper picks device 4 or 5 (and I don't remember that right offhand. Hey, success, but it sounds shocking!! Probably worse > than the IBM PC speaker. If you mean using the volume control on the SID, then congratulations! You figured out how most sound samples are played on the C64. This only gives 4 bit resolution, but it can provide surprisingly good results if done correctly with a good sample. I built a sound digitizer that hooked to the user port a long time ago. Maybe I should dig that back up. There was some really great info on sound sampling/playing a long time ago on this newsgroup. On the contrary, it spins forever, and the red light blinks at a slow pace. The blinking does not match one of the patterns described in the faq, since it blinks forever, and not a precise number of times. Could you explain me what is going on and how to repair my drive ? A friend of mine gave me another broken drive, so that it may be possible to build a working one out of the two drives. The problem that second drive suffers from is that it does not answer any command. Still the motor stops as it should after a few seconds. Hawaii's Newest Internet Provider Lines: 20 Message-ID: NNTP-Posting-Host: spartacus.hula.net Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII I have been using Dialogue V2.2D for some time now and no matter how I set up the Phonelist default or the config file cr cr/lf or lf only, If I open the buffer to save stuff with the logo/B cmd, it saves it to buffer (and or appends it to buffer) alright, however it insists on double spacing all the lines, so I have to go through the buffer and delete all the empty lines. What a pain in the arse!. Changing the config file cr/lf to cr only or to lf only has no affect on the buffer save, it still double spaces all. If on the other hand I just use the "term screen Grab cmd" logo/G it grabs the text from the term screen and takes it to buffer without any extra spaced lines just as should be. I spoke to some other users of Dialogue V2.2D and they say they dont have that problem. Does anybody have any ideas?. I normally have the TABS clrd in the buffer default, and WW turned on. The lines go in okay with no wrapping at wrong places nor nothing like that. Thats why I use DESTERM most of the time as it does not do that silly double spacing when capturing to buffer.
