All other items are still available, and any existing bids received are still valid. I will be adding some new items shortly, so watch for future updates. You will be notified via e-mail if you are the high bidder. If you change your mind about buying the item(s), then the item(s) will be returned to the auction. If you do not respond by 8/15/96, the item(s) will be returned to the auction. If an item is returned to the auction, all other bids still stand. - * - I have been going through all my Commodore stuff that I have collected and have compiled this list of items for sale. The format will be a public auction. Send all bids to me in electronic mail to hermit@bayview.com. I will try to set up a WWW interface to submit bids and check on the current highest bid, but for now stick to e-mail. I will post progress reports approximately every week to report the current bidding status. If you think my prices are too high; bid anyway, and you might just get it after all. However there is a MINIMUM PURCHASE OF $10, just to make it worth my time to package and mail. All prices are in US dollars. - Bidding runs until SEPTEMBER 1ST, 1996. At that time, all items with a high bid that is greater than the suggested bid, and any items I elect to sell at the high bid price, will be sold. - YOU WILL PAY ALL SHIPPING COSTS. Shipping cost depends on method of shipment, weight of what you buy, and your location. If you live in or near the San Francisco or Monterey bay areas in California (I live in Santa Cruz), we may be able to meet in person to transfer the goods. Send me email if you have any questions about shipping. - Unless otherwise indicated, all equipment has been tested and is in GOOD WORKING ORDER. Exceptions to this are noted in parentheses. The 1571 and 1541's have all been aligned by me, but understand that shipping could misalign them, so check them when you receive them. It's just an '00, OK,00,00' after INITing when the time was < then ? seconds and it has nothing to do with the alignment/bad transfe of the drive. when you run that tool a 2nd time it can be busy for 1/2 again. I have just re-discovered my C64 and forgotten what fun it is! I am interested to know how many UK users are on the list and whether there is a UK group that meets now and then? I also wonder how many of you out there I actually already know, be it as a mail contact throughout the pirate years, or a US modem contact (first 300 baud then 1200 to the US via ATnT!). Do any of you guys still use 'handles' and are any of the groups, or guys from US groups such as ESI, FBR still around? I was in a few groups including DCS (early and late). I'm also interested in knowing more about C64 and NET access and C64 hard drives. Any information on these two would be most appreciated. Sorry to go on guys, but they were great times!
