I know this has been covered here before, but I missed it.=20 Ive been playing around with 8 bit samples recently, and have found that = the=20 routine which uses the 'pulse-width' method (I think) produces a terrible= =20 whine over the sample. Ive tried filtering it out with the low-pass filte= r,=20 but it makes minimal difference. Does anyone know how to remedy this?=20 Which method, in your opinion, is the best? Let me know guys Simon ps if my mail bounces , just post it here and Ill read it. Lastly, start worrying about the SID chip. Well, Doug didn't think that the Perfect Print LQ software or the Geocabl= e could cause this problem, and I would tend to agree, but itidn't start until after I installed this stuff. I need to really do some more testin= g to find out for sure. Perfect Print LQ is CMD's answer to the crappy print quality of GEOS text. It dramatically improves the quality on both 9-pin and 24-pin printers.=20 In fact I'm using it on my Canon BJ-200, and I'm pleased with the results. I'd still like to see a BJ driver for it, but that would probably be asking too much.
