pl255 lm0 rm1 If you downloaded one of the original PCG Term ARC packages, you have all the support files already and the small dialer-specific packages are all that you now need to use the updates. Just download that file, de-arc the included files, and put them on the disk with the fonts, ml, etc. If you have no PCG Files, then you must download PCGSUPPORT.ARC and the arc'd package for your modem. The complete set of files required to use PCG Term is: PCGTERM.OBJ ML FOR MOST OF THE TERMINAL ROUTINES PCGTERM LOGO HI-RES LOGO SCREEN PH.PAGE 1 TELEPHONE DIRECTORY FILE PCG PHONE ED.V5 TELEPHONE DIRECTORY FILE EDITOR BOOT AND BOOT.BU LOADER OF ALL SUPPORT FILES BEL.GRAFIX NEW GRAFIX MODULE - ACCESS W/ 'O' AND 'P' AT MAIN MENU FONT.????? 15 or 16 font files BOOT loads various programs needed PCGTERM [dialer version] and PCGTERM [dialer version].bu This new set of programs was compiled to address several small, annoying glitches. Most were addressed in an Errata message I put up shortly after I sent the files. This takes care of the rest of them. The perk is that I also made a modular feature available for you, complete with a starter module which I hope you'll enjoy. It is a grafix module with which you can create or view animated files. All CBM colors, grafix, and cursor controls are supported in addition to a few other things. In the Make mode, there is a help screen. Just press CTRL-H to recall it. It is displayed at the very start too. In See mode, use the CTRL key to slow the action down and the CMDR key to speed it up. Use STOP to abort. You can also see files while online. At the first menu, you can 1] Display, which sort of downloads, but displays to screen instead of writng to disk. 2] Display and Download - figure it out 3] Download - figure this out too. 4] Make/See - Create or view locally. CTRL-H for help screen. What this all means is that you can upload files to GEnie, then others using PCG Term can view them online, and download them in the process if they like. Yes, it is a little slower doing it this way, but GEnie is not the only place they will work. They will work on ANY BBS, or you can download them normally and view them offline. I am very pleased and excited with the function and I hope you will enjoy them too. I didn't change the menu, so... To call a module, press 'o' at the main menu. If there is one installed,it will be accessed. If not, you must name one to load. If you don't know what is available, press '$' and all modules will on the current disk will be displayed. This is accomplished by testing for the presence of a sequence of 3 letters, 'EGB'. If you want to load another one, you just press 'p' at the main menu and this 'presence test' is overridden. Try it! I think you'll like it. The modules load at 36864 and the first 3 bytes must be 'EGB', a random combination of UPPERCASE letters I conjured out of thin air [hair??].
